Attractions

An experienced game ranger and guide is onhand and accompany you on day and nights drives in open game viewing vehicles. Some of the species you can see roaming the reserve are rhino, leopard, giraffe, brown hyena, aardwolf, waterbuck, eland, gemsbok, zebra, red hartebeest, impala, blesbok, blou-wildebeest, kudu, civet and caracal. There is an abundance of birdlife to be seen.

Ubumanzi proudly boasts over 210 species of birdlife, including black eagle, fish eagle and white stork.

WALKING TRAILS
The trails not only bring closer to protected Eugene Marais Cycad (which only occur in the concervancy) but also lead you through yellowood and fern forests which provides a special treat for nature lovers. Some of the trails which lead to the fountains high in the mountains, offer breath taking views of farms nestling in the valley.

Experience nature at its purist. Picture unspoilt terraine blanketed by dense bushveld and teeming with a wide variety of animals, birdlife and instects.

Although we can accommodate up to 24 delegates in the lodge, our venue can accommodate an extra 10 day delegates.

Directions

* Ubumanzi Game Lodge is two and a half hours from JHB. Take the N1 north highway from Johannesburg/Pretoria to Pietersburg(Polokwane). * Stay on the N1 north highway through to kranskop tollgate. * Travel a further 32km on the N1. * Take the Naboomspruit (Mookgophong) R101 A offramp exit (Route 289). Drive 8km to Naboomspruit (Mookgophong) and turn left at the second traffic light in town (R520). * Continue on the road for 11km until you reach a T-Junction. * Turn left and continue 150m. * Turn right at the Marken sign. Keep on the tar road for 25km. * The road becomes a gravel road. * Continue on this road for another 6km. * You will see the Ubumanzi security gate on the right hand side. * Ubumanzi's pointers are clearly visible from here onwards.
