Thutlwa is an ideal setting to unwind in the relaxing atmosphere of the South African Bushveld. Thutlwa is within comfortable driving distance of the majorcities in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. Thutlwa, literally rising above the trees in setswana, is the name commonly given to the Giraffe, which holds an important place in the folklore of the African people. Thutlwa offers a number of accommodation options such as these log cabins in the bush camp. The bush camp has 4 elevated log cabins that can accommodate groups of up to 16 people with Boma and
Lapa facilities.
The Bush camp makes and ideal family getaway for extended families or groups and is ideal for company training weekends and team building events.
The bush camp has a communal kitchen fully equipped with stove, fridges, microwave oven, crockery and cutlery. Linen and bath towels are supplied, however please bring your own towels for the swimming
pool.
The bush camp has a large lapa with tables and seating for 20 people with a braai facility. The Boma has a central fire pit with additional braai area. The boma can house around 30 guests comfortably. The tent camp has 10 ensuite tents specially designed for Thutlwa.
Each tent is fully equipped and has a private kitchen facility and braai area. Tents are spaced well apart for privacy yet still close enough to cater for a group booking.
The tent camp is spread over a secluded 1 hectare area with its own lapa with braai area and swimming pool. Each tent is furnished to a high standard and equipped with cutlery crockery,linen and towels. however please bring own towels for the swimming pool.This truely is camping with home comforts. - Each tent has its own seperate kitchen area and braai facility.
- There are 8 standard luxury tents with ensuite bathroom with showers, and 2 larger luxury tents with ensuite bathroom with shower and bath.

DirectionsTake the N1 from Pretoria to Polokwane. Take the Naboomspruit (Mookgopong) OFFRAMP #289.
In Naboomspruit, go straight through the first set of traffic lights. "S24°31.357' E028°42.658"
(Follow the signs of Mountain View Game Ranch; we are situated 1km from their main gate.)
At the second set of traffic lights, turn left. Drive past various churches, the High School Hans Strydom on
the right and a chicken farm, SPIF, on your left.
Travel about 11 km and you will reach a T-junction, where you must turn left.
Go about 4 km, past Sediba Restaurant, and you’ll see a junction to the right.
Turn right towards “Die Oog”. Do not travel straight onto the dirt road.
Travel about 9 km past Rhemardo, Groovy Market, Lalele Crocodile Farm and Bothania Hills and at the T-junction,
turn right, onto Alma Road, towards “Lekkerrus” and drive past “Lekkerrus” entrance on your right
hand.

Before leaving the tar road please call Thutlwa (014) 721 0800 (no cell reception on the dirt road)
We will arrange to meet you at the main gate.
This road will turn into a dirt road after about 600m from the T-junction. Travel about 13 km and you will find
the Thutlwa main gate on your right.
